Len
Pagano, President
Mr. Pagano has been involved with Chambers of Commerce and the management
of nonprofit organizations for nearly 20 years following a career in
journalism and television broadcasting. He currently serves as the
President of the Safe America Foundation and supervises programming for
WorldSafe, Operation Safe America, Safest Kid in America and the Safe
America Teen Driving Institute.
His accomplishments include founding the Safe America Foundation in 1994
after a three-year, $1 million successful pilot project that was funded
by the Travelers Insurance Foundation. Through his leadership, the Safe
America Foundation has focused on developing educational and practical
programs for businesses and communities. These issues include safety
product distribution, national youth programming, international travel
security, and teen driving safety.
Mr. Pagano currently manages the staff and administers an annual budget
of approximately $1.5 million. His administrative experience also
includes management responsibilities with Chamber of Commerce
organizations throughout the U.S. Southeast region. Mr. Pagano graduated
magna cum laude from the University of Georgia.

Deborah Lareau, Senior Vice President of Development
Ms. Lareau oversees major aspects of fundraising and donor development, including special events, database development, government and foundation grants, recognition programs and the Safe America Alliance Campaign to build the Siegel Center for Safety Innovation, Education and Research in 2006.
Ms. Lareau has had a long and successful career in nonprofit management and fundraising including 13 years in Florida and Georgia with the American Cancer Society, and almost three years as Vice President of Chapter Relations with the National Arthritis Foundation where she provided guidance and support to as many as 20 chapters. She also served for more than two years as a capital campaign consultant in Brunswick, GA and Washington, DC with one of the largest consulting firms in the world. Most recently, Ms. Lareau was associated with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) as interim Executive Director of the Maryland, Westchester County, NY, and New York Chapters.
Born in Montreal, Canada and subsequently living in Toronto and attending the University of Toronto, Ms. Lareau has resided in the U.S. for more than 20 years.

Larry Musselman, Vice President
of Curriculum and Training
Mr. Musselman serves as Vice President of Curriculum and Training
for the Teen Driving Institute. As an experienced driving instructor,
he has trained over 7,000 new drivers in the metro Atlanta area.
A professional public seminar speaker, Larry is a licensed instructor
with the National Safety Council and the Georgia Department of Public
Safety.
He has trained teens and adults in basic driver education, adult
driving skill assessment and enhancement, and instructed Defensive
Driving courses. Additionally, he managed the training of 550 adult
commercial delivery drivers under an exclusive contract with a major
pizza delivery company in Florida.
Larry retired from Framatome Technologies (Franco-American Atomics)
in 1997, capping a technical career in the management of Business
Development in the Environmental Sciences and Nuclear Technologies.
He was also involved with the development of the Nuclear Engine
for Rocket Vehicle Development (NERVA) program with the Westinghouse
Astronuclear Laboratory at the Nevada Test Site.
Larry received engineering training at Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute,
Troy, New York, with the U.S. Navy where he was one of the earliest
cold-war era nuclear submarine reactor operators.
