Dear
Safe America Kids,
My
name is Logan. I am 7 years old. I am in the 2nd grade at Bonaire
Elementary School. When my daddy went to Iraq, my family made emergency
backpacks. We have things to eat, a flashlight, batteries, blanket,
water, color book and crayons. I have extra clothes and shoes. There
is a picture of our family and our family plan. Mom gave us lots
of quarters.
It
makes us happy to have an emergency kit. I keep it under my bed.
I think every boy and girl should have an emergency kit.

P.S.
It is important to keep supplies in the backpacks updated with clothes
suitable for the season and eliminate anything that might be in
an adult pack that would be dangerous to children (first aid kit,
matches, sterno, etc.) These supplies are carried in my pack with
supplies for the baby, which includes a baby sling for easy carrying.
Becky Blake, Logan’s mother
